About me:

Hello everyone, this is my personal website. My name is Cyrus Young and I will be entering my fifth year of Engineering Physics at UBC. Engineering Physics at UBC is a five year degree consisting of an engineering degree with a focus on electrical, mechanical and software built on a foundation of applied physics and math.

I am passionate about physics (some of my favorite topics include Electromagnetic Theory, Nuclear Physics, and Thermodynamics) as well as more applied fields such as Digital Signal and Image Processing, Control Systems, and Optics and Photonics (which has been the main focus of my previous internship as well as my current one).

My hobbies include running, playing sports with friends, and reading books on a variety of topics (I am currently reading Russia: Revolution and Civil War, 1917—1921 by Antony Beevor).
